Offender Re-Entry Program
The Center for Self-Directed Learning is an academic center at which students can register for a wide range of courses. CSDL students learn at their own pace through a variety of instructional media/materials, including audiotapes, videotapes, CDs and state-of-the-art computer-assisted instruction. Regardless of the medium, students are always active participants in the learning process, solving problems, answering questions and developing skills.
CSDL students’ progress is evaluated on a continuous basis to ensure that they are working and learning effectively. Professional course facilitators and tutors are available to provide content tutoring and answer questions.
Students who wish to work together can find a study table where they can meet and exchange ideas. In addition, there is a quiet study/VCR room where students watch their supplemental videos or find a quiet corner in which they can work on their courses.
