Upcoming Home Study Courses
Home Study courses (ES) are designed for students who cannot attend classes on a regular basis. These courses can be completed through the mail. Many of the courses available in the traditional classroom may be taken as Home Study courses.
Home Study students receive a course syllabus, which lists the instructor contact information, required text(s), weekly assignments, and testing procedures. Course requirements include weekly take-home quizzes and assignments, which must be submitted on a continuous basis throughout the semester. All required examinations must be taken at the college.
Starting a Home Study Course
Courses begin according to the regular semester schedule. You may register for a Home Study course in person, or by mail, phone, or fax. After registering, you may pick up the course syllabus from the BHCC Online office in E221 on the Charlestown Campus.
If you are unable to pick up your syllabus at registration, you may call (617) 228-2466 to have it mailed to you. Textbooks for all Home Study courses are available at the BHCC Bookstore, or you may order them online from a merchant of your choice.
